Parga



Parga is a town in
Greece, in Epirus. Parga belongs to the prefecture of Preveza in the context of
Epirus. Today Parga is famous as the most famous resort on the coast of Epirus.




The picturesque town on the Ionian Sea, making up the Epirote area, opposite the island of Corfu, located about 100 km south of Ioannina. Parga is a place with its appearance and spirit reminiscent of the ancient Mediterranean city. It is located in a small bay on the hillside, surrounded by woods and olive groves. Romantic streets with white houses, full of cafes, restaurants and taverns. The pace of life is very slow during the day that in the evening in the port perked cosmopolitan atmosphere that satisfies every taste. Parga has a rich history, a rare natural beauty, the beautiful sandy beaches which can be reached by walking, clear sea, unforgettable charm that you will return again and again to this paradise.

PARGA TOWN BEACH


Parga Town Beach: The beach of Parga is situated within a walking distance from the town centre. It is actually a short strip of sand that overlooks the beautiful and lush green islet of Panagia. Parga beach has many tourist amenities, including close by hotels, sun beds, umbrella rentals, taverns and seaside cafes. The clean waters and the sport facilities constitute an attraction to visitors. The waterfront close to the beach is the favorite walk side of both locals and tourists. 
LICHOS BEACH


 Lichnos beach Parga: The beach of Lichnos is placed 4 km to the south of Parga. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Epirus, where the deep blue water gets combined to the green of the olive trees, all in the same environment. Lichnos beach is sandy and has some large pebbles. Its waters are deep and clean; in fact, it is possible to fish in this beach. You will have the chance to practise some unusual water sports there, such as diving, scuba diving, jet skiing, surfing and snorkeling, among others. Lichnos has also pedaloe rentals which are very entertaining and allow exploring the Ionian Sea. Those who prefer tranquil activities, like sunbathing, can also feel very comfortable in Lichnos.  
SARAKINIKO BEACH

Sarakiniko beach Parga: The beach of Sarakiniko is placed about 12 km away from Parga, near the village Agia, and it is a picturesque beach. It is usually peaceful and has many old olive trees that drop down into the bay. It consists of both sand and pebbles. Although Sarakiniko is not as popular as other beaches in the same area, there are many activities to be held, such as swimming, fishing, renting a pedaloe or a canoe, diving and snorkeling. Sarakiniko counts on some taverns that offer tasteful greek cuisine. There are also some accommodation options in the close surroundings.  

VALTOS BEACH

Valtos beach of Parga: Valtos beach is found to the west of Parga, down the hill where the Venetian castle was built. It takes just a 20-minute walk to get there from the town and it is also accessible by car, bicycle or boat. It is considered as one of the best beaches in Greece. Have in mind that, in summer, there is a water-taxi service from Parga harbor to Valtos, which may result very convenient. Valtos is a large beach with a 3 km long coastline. So no matter how crowded it gets, there is always room for everyone.
