Ammouliani

Ammouliani  - also known as Amoliani - is an island located in the Chalkidiki regional unit, Greece, 120 km (75 mi) from Thessaloniki. Administratively it is part of the municipal unit of Stagira-Akanthos. As of 2011, the resident population of the island was 547.
Megali Ammos


Megali Ammos (meaning big sand) is the southernmost beach of Ammouliani. In is located on the southeastern coast of the island, with view of the Drenia islands and the tower of Ouranoupoli on the mainland. Part of the road going to this beach is unpaved but the access  is easy.The beach has fine sand like all the rest beaches of Ammouliani. In the summer there a couple of beach bars offering sundbeds and umbrellas and one tavern overlooking the sea.

Agios Georgios

Agios Georgios is a beach located between  Megali Ammos and Limani, on the east shore. Part of it is organized by a beach tavern and one beach bar, so a limited numbers of sundbeds and parasols can be found in the summer.Part of the road which goes to Agios Georgios is unpaved but is in a good condicion. The beach is entirely sandy. 

Limani Beach


The small cove of limani can be found just after Glastri, on the way to Agios Georgios beach. You will se it on your left as soon as the paved road is replaced by dirt road.
Alikes Beach

The most popular beach of Ammouliani, Alikes, is on the western coast of the island, just 1 km away from the village. It is a crescent-shape sandy bay with shallow water, very suitable for small kids. In the summer it has a campsite and a few beach bars. In the area there are some houses and apartments to rent.
